Students as Makers: The Furture of VR Conference 2019

Extended reality (XR) technologies, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), have the power to change the way we learn. In education, XR tools and resources built for students are making positive impacts across grade levels and content areas. Students with access to XR development tools are already creating their own immersive content.

This conference will serve as a showcase for student-created immersive environments and will provide students with an opportunity to create and share a presentation to students, educators, and professionals in the emerging technology industry. It is open to students and educators from public and private educational institutions as well as from higher education institutions. Industry professionals and emerging technologies vendors are invited to join the student-led sessions.

This conference was created by VR+ED, a team of educators at independent schools in New Jersey, New York, and San Diego. Their experience includes hands-on leadership of student-developed virtual reality projects, collaboration across schools in multiple states, and spearheading student-led virtual projects in cooperation with community non-profit organizations.
